About the project

Rattlesnakes often evoke fear among those wandering through rattlesnake country. Yet, off the coast of Georgia lies an unexpected haven, where these creatures coexist within the tranquil neighborhoods and biking trails of one of the most popular East Coast vacation spots. Amid this unique setting, a dedicated individual endeavors to safeguard and foster community understanding of this crucial species. This short film explores the work of Joseph Colbert and his past service in the U.S. Marines to tell a heartwarming story about how a scaly predator has helped him, and in return, he is the species’ biggest advocate. This film will be released in 2024.
